Aventurine – The Don of Gemstones

Colour

The gemstone is usually green in colour, is opaque and ranges from pale mint to deepest emerald. The green is caused by green mica (fuchsite) inclusions, which enables it to glitter in the light as though depicting fairy dust. In addition to the green it is also found in peach to yellow to dark red to brown shades and blues. On occasions it is confused with another gemstone Jade.
